So something weird happened. Someone told me this happens regularly but I'm not sure.
Basically, I uploaded The World is Saved as an .swf of a video. It was not a choice method. I should have just uploaded the video straight up and didn't.
At some point in April, that flash file was replaced by a video. So what's the practical difference. One has a preloader and a link to an HD version on youtube, one does not. Now you can stream it, which is awesome. I'm just surprised this happened without me doing it. Did this happen to anyone else. I can imagine Newgrounds doing this for The World is Saved because it was a very popular video and none of my other videos have been converted. I'm just curious. Anyway, here's an embed test since I've never done it before.

Newgrounds is being more assertive now. If you read their last post they have always sat on the sidelines since content users would post here and leave link after link to youtube, this redirected traffic away from Newgrounds. Newgrounds is still viable since they want to show that not only they can compete but also keep there traffic here on this site. I'm sure as the days go by the more popular videos will be converted just like yours because they are tired of people using Newgrounds as a spring board for youtube or other sites. Also if Newgrounds can still grab more traffic they can go back to doing more awesome stuff!

Yeah, I read that post. I suspected this might have been the case and I am fully in support of that. I am so indebted to Newgrounds for fostering my love of animating, they deserve to be THE place for online animation.
