Of everything here, it's the torch backlighting the title that impresses me most. It's a great touch.

It's great but it's entirely disingenuous not to credit the original photo and photographer.
Lovely style and emotion. The arm and down-thumb hand seem bit disconnected. I would re-do his left arm.
You should do a Art lesson from your blog. :D
Step one draw, step two read...
Done.
Just gimme a hundred more levels, and I'll be set. ;)
haha glad you like it!
If we revisit the Shellrazer universe it would probably be in a new game, like shellrazer 2 or something.
*highfives*
This is really great. Minus half a star for the a questionable highlight... Just kidding.
"questionable "
Wow... Flash 5... Pretty cool.
Really nice. It reminds me a bit of Howl's Moving Castle, particularly with in the sense of the creature's precarious balancing act. Also, the chicken foot.
Wow , you are the second person to mention "Howl's Moving Castle" I have never seen it, but I guess I really should check it out!
Very Nice
A tad dark but the mouth is fantastic.
He's kind of a dark, sinister character in my buddy's comic. I wanted the lighting to kind of reflect that, as well as get that eerie effect from the glowing eyes.
I may have got a tad overboard with the contrast though. Thanks for saying something.
This is really special
The palette and composition is pitch-perfect. This is not taking a shot at your painting at all, but was Avatar the last airbender an influence to this painting. I ask this because the child looks very much like him and the fact that he's riding a flying animal.
Thanks! And to be completely honest, Avatar was not in my mind when I was painting this but I actually noticed the similarities when it was done. I'd probably say it may have been a subconscious influence but not intentional. Also, the title I had earlier before I edited was "Avatar - Sozin's Comet" but that was a mistake haha. I have an avatar picture I was going to submit before this one but then I changed my mind and forgot to change the title.
