hmmm

It a little more. Like an actual movie to go with it. All the flashy stuff you do in preparation for an animation is all talk. We the viewers of newgrounds aren't here to praise every second you dish out. Give us an actual flash to work with, not something that tries to build anticipation for something that doesn't even exist and very well may not.

maizemore responds:

well i understand this builds false anticipation and im soory for that.

- and idk if im the only person on newgrounds who does this, but i love to watch every second of animation as long as its well done, it dosent have to have a good story soundtrack or anything, those are all different arts.

the mood the music would set is the vision of the artist complementing his work with a set emotion or feeling

as the story is another work of art within itself, only brought to life by the animation that follows.

i enjoy every one of these things when watching an animation, and i would rate it based on how well composed the entire peice of work is.

but my main reason for coming to newgrounds is for the animation, to see a beautifully put together peice of work-simple or not it dosent matter.

Everything was just a bit off this time around.

The new comic-book style art is not working for me. It looks nice by itself, but frankly distracts from what's going on in the flash. Which brings me to my other point. The writing in this is fine for an average screenwriter on this site. But you sir? You, author of the best written comedic flash series on the internet? No. This was certainly not your best outing. The comedic timing was off, but more or less it was the quality of the humor that was to blame for a less enjoyable flash.

The-Swain responds:

Hey, blame the voice actors if you don't like the timing. Then again, better not - they could delete your account.

Interestingly enough

There's a Purgatory Pizza a few blocks down from where I live, their slogan is, "If you don't our pizza, go to Hell."

Good job on the flash btw :P

Sound-O-Vision responds:

haha, that's awesome.

thanks for the encouragement!

I liked it

I liked the twist, but then again there wasn't much to it. Just a quickie i guess.

Greensinge responds:

Yep, took me just over a day to complete!

GS

Well, its TANKMEN

so yeah. Just after sending you a fawning pm about helping me with custom easing on motion tweens... I'm gonna slam you for it! :)

So yeah. I don't think you need to be told again how perfectly your style matches with the mood and setting of newgrounds.

Yep, you and Stamper as the gay lovers of newgrounds really are the reason that makes this site work day in and day out. You can see it in the evolution of the site as the layout pretty much starts to completely base its design on the style of both of you.

You have an amazing ability in working with a limited set of colors that is very artistic, yet also like something you see out of a comic book. And it's always awesome to see you take a step back and do a landscape like the first shot of this. Reminded me a lot of the graphic style of 300. You're also a confident director who's good at timing jokes, and generally executing slightly off beat takes on situations that seem destined for cliche. Lauds!

That said, you do seem to be a one trick pony sort of guy who sacrifices a lot of his animation potential in order to dish out a TANKMEN regularly. I am by no means trying to say you should quit with TANKMEN, since it's a staple of the this Newgrounds Renaissance we are currently in, but I'm saying perhaps take up an individual project that would really challenge (If you're a challenge kind of guy) your ability especially in fbf. Find a good situation where it can be easy to avoid tweens. I think you're kind of like the John Singer Sargent of Newgrounds. Currently just a novelty of realism with great potential for experimentation.

JohnnyUtah responds:

now...I should just point out there's only been what..4 episodes in over a year and a half?

dont worry buddy, im working on other things

it was a good attempt

knox-fan right? Who'd of thought? anyway, as dubs go this is one of the better quality ones, the sound was very good and the voice-acting was very nice.

You had some good stabs at humor but most fell flat for me. A lot of it I think had to do with the choice of movie. Not a lot of people have seen Pan's Labyrinth, and besides that point it's in Spanish. One of the best parts of dubs is remembering the actual lines of the movie. I'd like to see you do another movie with less visual focus (which is basically the niche of Pan) and something with more dialogue.

Try one of these

Pulp Fiction
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Ong Bak: The Thai Warrior

Or any horror movie basically

Evil Dead 2
The Shining
Jeepers Creepers

Homeless responds:

ok? Why should I dub a movie that everyone has seen? I don't want humor based off of the actual dialoge because what if someone hasn't seen it? It's better if you make a dub funny and have it be funny whether the person has seen the original movie or not

What is the 3rd by frame for

the title didn't make sense. I was expecting animations in fbf within an fbf animation *note: don't steal that idea from me now, it's mine* otherwise it was a pretty average and simple line fbf flash with better than average music. keep working at it and start pushing your limits more.

Jovatov responds:

The third 'frame' is just that it goes on, frame by frame by frame.

really short

what were you trying to sell us something?

fdnmjewaksfr responds:

you know what get off of newgrounds...
