Well, its TANKMEN

so yeah. Just after sending you a fawning pm about helping me with custom easing on motion tweens... I'm gonna slam you for it! :)

So yeah. I don't think you need to be told again how perfectly your style matches with the mood and setting of newgrounds.

Yep, you and Stamper as the gay lovers of newgrounds really are the reason that makes this site work day in and day out. You can see it in the evolution of the site as the layout pretty much starts to completely base its design on the style of both of you.

You have an amazing ability in working with a limited set of colors that is very artistic, yet also like something you see out of a comic book. And it's always awesome to see you take a step back and do a landscape like the first shot of this. Reminded me a lot of the graphic style of 300. You're also a confident director who's good at timing jokes, and generally executing slightly off beat takes on situations that seem destined for cliche. Lauds!

That said, you do seem to be a one trick pony sort of guy who sacrifices a lot of his animation potential in order to dish out a TANKMEN regularly. I am by no means trying to say you should quit with TANKMEN, since it's a staple of the this Newgrounds Renaissance we are currently in, but I'm saying perhaps take up an individual project that would really challenge (If you're a challenge kind of guy) your ability especially in fbf. Find a good situation where it can be easy to avoid tweens. I think you're kind of like the John Singer Sargent of Newgrounds. Currently just a novelty of realism with great potential for experimentation.

now...I should just point out there's only been what..4 episodes in over a year and a half?

dont worry buddy, im working on other things

Absolute blast

I already gave my props to funguy for this, but all of you did outstanding work for you parts and for the most part I was completely into it. Here's a breakdown:

Intro: fine intro in my opinion
Flash: Wow nice artwork, I also like a lot of the backgrounds and change in styles. Very good start to the collab.
Catwoman: Very witty.
Spiderman (pt 1-3): My favorite one (besides ChubbtheHippo's of course) Mix of a witty concept (what can a spider do without a surface, haha brilliant) and good art concept.
Ironman: Epic yet simple.
Hawkwoman: nice art.
Galactus: Almost two quick, the voices could've used work but I love the facial expressions.
Collosus: My least favorite of the bunch, but it was stil fun to watch.
Human Torch: very true.

nice work.

From Preloader to Last Credit

Last year I taught 8 students who had never learned flash before, just how amazing and multi-faceted the program was. Wanting to show flash at its finest I showed them The YuYu. They were literally taken aback, making comments that I'm sure you've heard so many times before, "wow look at the shading, the camera angles too. The smooth animation"
And then my youngest student piped up, "Nice gradients." the rest of my class was quite confused since I had previously told them not to use gradients for shading. Not wanting to be shamed in front of my class, I quickly responded, "There's a huge difference between what Adam Phillips does with gradients, and what you want to do with them. You guys want to use gradients to show the depth of the boulder, which Adam does. *I zoom in on the yuyu boulder* Adma takes a step further by concluding that it is the gradient, not the solid color, that should be the base for the whole boulder. In effect, he is showing the "texture" of the boulder by using solid colors as shading. You can't do this vice versa and get this kind of result.

So NEway to the movie

I'm sure you already have heard as many compliments as you care to see.

I will say that my favorite parts are always where you are resourceful with the flash medium and with outside help. your not arrogant so that your mind is clouded that you could single-handedly animate the cloud of featherbugs (the scripting is superb btw, could you give me the name of who scripted them?)

But your wary enough of the success of this series to realize new elements must be added, something that will really promote flash to all reaches of the internet. And that i believe, is my favorite part of all.

Excellent

Didn't like the song too much (some of it just didn't flow right) but the animation was almost pitch perfect and the art was also really well done. Despite the song itself, this is probably the best of the lemon demon videos

dude...

It was very well done. good art and animation. But it was definitelly not the salad fingers of our youth. We can steadily see the days past by through salad fingers' mind in seconds. He is slowly being overcome by his own insanity. The last 2 or 3 episodes have definitely shown a new side to salad fingers. Not the hilairiously demented salad fingers, but the fragile creature that finds both comfort and worry in his own confined space. He believes he knows what's real, and just like the real people of this world. Who's to say he's wrong?

it was a good attempt

knox-fan right? Who'd of thought? anyway, as dubs go this is one of the better quality ones, the sound was very good and the voice-acting was very nice.

You had some good stabs at humor but most fell flat for me. A lot of it I think had to do with the choice of movie. Not a lot of people have seen Pan's Labyrinth, and besides that point it's in Spanish. One of the best parts of dubs is remembering the actual lines of the movie. I'd like to see you do another movie with less visual focus (which is basically the niche of Pan) and something with more dialogue.

Try one of these

Pulp Fiction
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Ong Bak: The Thai Warrior

Or any horror movie basically

Evil Dead 2
The Shining
Jeepers Creepers

Homeless responds:

ok? Why should I dub a movie that everyone has seen? I don't want humor based off of the actual dialoge because what if someone hasn't seen it? It's better if you make a dub funny and have it be funny whether the person has seen the original movie or not

oh nice

you're doing the animation festival with too? Well good luck. Sry, I convinced Adam Phillips to submit something too. lol whatever, it's getting on t.v that the real prize.

You better read this.

omg god, you should totally submit this to the Nicktoons animation festival! This would totally get on T.V just google "nicktoons animation festival" and get that entry form. This is exactly the sort of thing that is needed. Turn this into a quicktime and mail it to'em ,yo might even win the 10,000 dollar grand prize. Hurry you only have 6 days!

okay

It was very funny, i like the idea, develope your animation skillz and talk to me later. ;)

I'm Impressed

I really thought this was going to wane, but it keeps on getting better and better with higher quality submissions. I'll try for Sunday I guess.
